Variety characteristics
Slender leaves, dark green leaves, delicate texture; creeping growth, strong surface coverage in the early spring, slow vertical growth; low pruning resistant to 1.3cm; excellent disease resistance, especially high resistance to stem rust and brown spot disease; Enriched with endophytic bacteria, it has significant resistance to various pests that feed on grass; it is resistant to trampling, almost no grass mats, moderate nitrogen fertilizer requirements; good heat and shade resistance, drought tolerance .
Application scope and utilization
Tornadoes have excellent compatibility, and they perform well regardless of unicast or mixed broadcasts or replanting of dormant turf in winter. Therefore, it has been applied to all kinds of sports fields, public green areas and greening of towns and turf rolls. In addition, the effect of reseeding for the warm season turf in southern China in winter is also very good, ensuring that the turf is green throughout the year.
Establishment and management
Tornadoes are suitable for spring and autumn sowing. The seeding rate is 30-40g/m2, and the proportion in mixed broadcasting is 10-20%. Seedlings can emerge 5-7 days after sowing and watering and regular trimming after emergence. Suitable trim height is 4-6cm. During the growing season, 2.5 g/m2 of nitrogen fertilizer can be applied every month, and the application of lawn-specific fertilizer is better.
