On July 1, the National Development and Reform Commission issued a notice requesting that special investigations be conducted on ex-factory prices for certain drugs.
The scope of the survey is for new medicines that have entered the National Health Insurance Catalogue, and some medicines that have been stipulated as having the highest retail price limit, involving more than 900 manufacturing enterprises and nearly 900 varieties. The investigation work will be organized by the National Drug Evaluation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, and the basic information such as the actual ex-factory prices of the drugs and the financial operations of the production companies will be obtained through field inspection of financial accounts and original sales vouchers.
The National Development and Reform Commission requires all localities and relevant production enterprises to actively cooperate with each other. For production companies that do not cooperate with the investigation, refuse to report, misreport, and conceal reports, they will be investigated and dealt with according to law.
