New feed for French farmed fish

After more than ten years of research, French researchers successfully developed a plant fish feed consisting of sprouts, canola and grains. Studies have shown that it is necessary to meet the demand of fish for high protein and high calorie foods, especially Amino Acids, but can not bring side effects to organisms. The most suitable is bean sprouts, but the French bean sprouts production is very small, researchers have developed from other common plants. Mixed feeds of protein materials (wheat, bean sprouts, canola, high-protein peas, and lupins) have yielded exciting results for various fish experiments. French company BIOMAR has incorporated 5% to 30% of vegetable protein in formulated feed. The researchers found that to enrich the fish with fatty acids, you can use linseed oil, olive oil, or vegetable oil during the growth of the fish, using fish oil in the final stages of feeding. In the case of carp, the average feeding period was 12 months. In the first 6 months, only vegetable oil was fed. After 6 months of fish oil feeding, the fish contained enough omega-3 fatty acids.
