Xinhua Medical will jointly operate medical equipment with GE

At a recent meeting, the sixth board of directors of Xinhua Medical approved a proposal regarding a joint venture with General Electric (China) Co., Ltd. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the company’s strategy to expand its presence in the medical equipment industry. The new joint venture, named Xinhua General Electric Medical System Co., Ltd., will focus on the research, development, and production of diagnostic X-ray equipment, along with related components and software. It will also provide technical support, maintenance, and training services for these products.

The joint venture has a total investment of $25 million, with Xinhua Medical holding 51% of the shares and General Electric contributing 49%. This partnership aims to combine Xinhua's strong domestic market presence with GE's global technological expertise. The goal is to create a competitive product line that meets high-quality standards and serves both the Chinese and international markets effectively.
