1. Identification
Take out a little oil from the oil pan and place it on your finger. In case of stickiness, if there is a sticky feeling and there is a phenomenon of drawing, it means that the engine oil has not deteriorated and can still be used, otherwise it should be replaced.
2, oil dip identification
Pull out the oil gauge to see if the mark is clear in the light. When the oil on the dipstick cannot be clearly marked, it indicates that the oil is dirty and needs to be replaced immediately.
3, dumping identification
Take a small amount of oil in the oil pan into a container, then slowly pour out from the container to observe the luster and viscosity of the oil flow. If the oil flow can maintain a slender and even, indicating that there is no gum and impurities in the oil, it can be used for a period of time, otherwise it should be replaced.
4, oil drop inspection
Drop a drop of oil in the oil pan on the white paper. If the center of the oil drop is dark, it is dark brown and even without granules. The surrounding yellow infiltration is very small, indicating that the deterioration of engine oil should be replaced. If the center of the oil drop is small and the color is light, the surrounding yellow infiltration marks are large, indicating that the oil can be used.
The above inspections should be carried out when the oil has not yet settled after the engine is stopped. Otherwise, the correct conclusion may not be obtained. Because the oil is precipitated, the oil floating on it is often a good oil, and the deteriorating oil or impurities remain at the bottom of the oil pan. Therefore, sampling "surface oil" may cause false detections.
