The import of four types of grain reached 1.324 million tons, an increase of 176.89% year-on-year and a decrease of 18.49% compared with the previous period. Imports of wheat, rice, corn and barley were 251,500 tons, 224,200 tons, 720,150 tons and 126,500 tons, respectively. The large increase in corn imports is the main driving force for the substantial growth of raw grain imports.
In respect of finished food products, the total exports of flour, corn starch and modified starch in July were 51,320 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.72% and a decrease of 4.06% compared with the previous period; the total export of grain products equivalent to raw grains was approximately 51.320 tons. In terms of sub-species, 18,926 tons of flour was exported, 5,253 tons of starch was exported, and 9,176 tons of modified starch was exported.
Total imports of 22,125 tons, an increase of 43.44%, a decrease of 2.88%, equivalent to imports of raw grain is about 34,038 tons; points of view, modified starch, flour, starch imports were 20926 tons, 1175 tons and 24 tons.
Comprehensive import and export of raw grain and finished grain, in July, China's total grain export amounted to a total of 64 kilotonnes of raw grain, a year-on-year decrease of 16%, and import equivalent to 1358 kt of raw grain, an increase of 1.71 times.
