Breeding Techniques for Special Wild Boars

Special boar hair is typically gray-brown or reddish-brown in color. Piglets are born with a distinctive striped pattern on their bodies. The coat is thick and dense, especially along the armpits, where the hair extends almost from the neck down to the hindquarters. Their hooves are black, and the tips of their ears are small and closely positioned near the back of the ear. The nose is long, the head is narrow, and the belly is relatively small. Their legs are tall and slender, the back is straight, and the tail is short. Male wild boars have prominent, sharp teeth that are used for defense and foraging. Pure wild boars and special wild boars differ mainly in the size and shape of their ears, mouth, back, abdomen, and legs. Compared to ordinary pigs, special wild boars look similar to regular wild boars but are not considered true wild boars. When selecting a site for pig houses, it is important to choose a high, dry, flat area that is sheltered from the wind. The location should have access to clean water and be easily accessible for transportation. It should also be located away from residential areas, factories, schools, and industrial zones. The fencing for special wild boars must be higher than that for ordinary pigs, usually around 1.6 meters in height. Steel gates are recommended for the entrance to ensure security and prevent escapes. In terms of breeding, purebred wild mountain pigs are typically raised in farms or households. These farms focus on the selective breeding of wild sows to produce high-quality, purebred wild boars for special wild boar farms. This process ensures that the genetic purity of the wild boar population is maintained. Special wild pig farms, on the other hand, often introduce purebred wild boars for controlled breeding. It is advisable to select young wild boars weighing between 5 to 25 kg for domestication and rearing. If the animal is too large, it may be more difficult to tame, less adaptable, and harder to manage during breeding operations. Therefore, choosing smaller individuals is essential for successful breeding and management.
