Organic products new national standard next month to use honey can not be called organic

The new national standard will be launched next month. Local 50 companies will be shuffled out and consumers will be able to surf the Internet to find out whether products are reliable or not. Many people will immediately come out of their minds - green, healthy and environmentally friendly. And people’s pursuit of a healthy life and the desire for non-polluting foods have also allowed organic products to quickly become popular. At present, there are more and more organic products with different signs appearing in the market, allowing consumers to take a look. However, are these organic products truly organic, healthy and pollution-free? Are there really so many fruits that are natural and organic?

In response to the current status of the organic product market, the National Certification and Accreditation Administration issued a new version of the "Regulations for the Implementation of Organic Product Certification," which stipulates that from July 1, all organic products sold on the market must be uniformly applied with organic product identification and certification codes. If consumers purchase organic products, they can use the “China Food and Agricultural Product Certification Information System” (food.cnca.cn) of the CNCA to conduct inquiries and verifications and verify the “genuine body” of the products they purchase.

Although the new policy has not yet been implemented, market chain reactions have already emerged. Up to now, 50 manufacturing enterprises in Hangzhou have been eliminated. Many supermarkets have made adjustments in the procurement of organic products, and do not even sell organic products.

Organic products can be "verified"

The new regulations strictly regulate the process of certification and inspection of production balance, harvesting, processing, packaging, sales, etc., and stipulate that the minimum sales packaging for certified products or products should be supplemented with national organic product certification marks and unique numbers. "Organic Code", the name of the certification body, or its identification. This organic code is a secret code. After scratching the silver coating on the anti-counterfeit label, it can be seen. It consists of 17 digits, namely: “3 digits of the certification organization code + 2 digits of the year with which the logo is issued” and 12 digits of the random code. The random code is generated by the advanced second-generation ID card technology and is a "gatekeeper" that rejects counterfeit products.

Along with the new regulations on organic products, there are “Organic Product Certification Catalogues.” Five major categories of 125 products including plants, livestock and poultry, aquatic products, white spirits, and other natural fibers for spinning are listed in the “Organic Product Certification”. table of Contents". Only the 125 products in the catalogue are eligible to apply for organic product certification, but have previously been certified, but not in the scope of the "Organic Product Certification Catalog" certification, the certificate expires automatically expired. In addition, the new list also cancels the organic certification of honey and rice dumplings.

50 local companies withdraw from the "organic world"

The most prominent organic product in the production process is the complete elimination of pesticides, chemical fertilizers and other chemical substances, and it is the industry that has the least harm to the environment and the greatest ecological protection. The new regulations highlight a “strict” character in the standardization of organic products: First, the production, processing, labeling, and sales standards are more stringent; second, the certification process is more stringent and more standardized, and more explicit and detailed; the third is the establishment of bad companies to exit. mechanism.

The new rule also lists 10 categories of situations that will not be approved for certification, and 12 types of situations will revoke certification. For example, as long as prohibited substances are used in the production of organic products, organic product certification certificates will be revoked. If you want to apply again, you will not be eligible for re-application until five years later. After the application, you will need a one-year conversion period.

According to the data provided by the Municipal Bureau of Quality Supervision, there are currently 219 organic production enterprises in Hangzhou, of which 16 are export enterprises and hold 259 organic product certification certificates, accounting for nearly one-third of the province's valid certificates. The certified organic products mainly include 12 categories and 63 products such as cereals and cereal mill products, vegetables, fruits, and living animals. The introduction and implementation of the new regulations have intensified the survival of the fittest. “As of now, 50 companies in Hangzhou have been eliminated,” said Lu Qian, head of the Metrology Bureau's Metrology Division.

Supermarkets adjust procurement policies because all companies that have passed organic certification will face re-audit certification, and then will issue new organic labels one by one. The transition period between the old and new rules ends on July 1. The day when the new regulations are formally implemented is coming. Are all aspects ready?

Yesterday, the reporter visited several supermarkets. The staff at Wal-Mart Stores in Shangtang Road said: “There is no organic product counter here, and there is almost no sales of organic products.” Coincidentally, Huang Weiwei, the administrative department of China Resources Vanguard supermarket, stated that the supermarket is also No organic product. "One is because the recent introduction of the new policy has not yet confirmed a series of procurement requirements. Second, due to the higher selling price of organic products, there are fewer consumer customers."

Yuan Bo, an industry insider, said that the introduction of the new certification requirements will lead to the adjustment of organic product suppliers and the adjustment of supermarket purchasing policies, such as the need to apply for new subscription licenses and understand new certification requirements.
