Three needles, two materials, and a new breed of rabbit breeding method

Rex rabbits typically take over 150 days to reach slaughter weight when raised using traditional methods. However, with the application of third-generation biotechnology products developed by experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Beijing Zhongke Deep Blue Technology Co., Ltd., the growth cycle can be significantly shortened. The specially formulated feed supplement, "Supplement Treasure," is designed to support young rabbits without the need for antibiotics. By adding just 1% of this supplement to every 50 kg of feed, the digestive system of the rabbits is optimized, ensuring efficient nutrient absorption and balanced nutrition. This results in thick, smooth fur that meets high-grade skin standards. Additionally, by following a three-injection protocol—using long-acting Veerec, enemy ball recoil, and rabbit plague vaccines, along with pasteurized seedlings—farmers can effectively prevent parasites and coccidia without the need for anticoccidial drugs in the diet. Combining this safe feeding approach with proper management techniques can reduce the farming cycle by up to 50 days, greatly improving economic returns. Beyond the use of supplements and injections, successful Rex rabbit farming also requires attention to several key practices: 1. After weaning, female rabbits should be kept separate from their mothers during the entire lactation period. This helps create a stable environment that supports milk production and ensures the mother rabbit develops a strong milk reflex. 2. Puppies should start receiving supplemental feed between 16 to 18 days of age. At this stage, their digestive systems are still developing, making them prone to diarrhea. Providing easily digestible feed helps regulate their gut health, maintain intestinal integrity, and boost immunity. Gradually increasing meal sizes allows for a smooth transition to free feeding by day 18–20. 3. At 35 days old, each rabbit should receive one injection of long-acting Vevid (0.1 ml) and one dose of enemy recoil (0.1 ml). At 45 days, a rabbit vaccine and two doses of pasteurized seedlings are administered. From this point on, no anticoccidial drugs are needed in the diet. 4. After weaning, young rabbits should have constant access to water and feed. Using the Bao diet supplement ensures they can eat and drink freely, which is more effective than traditional feeding methods. 5. When rabbits reach 1.75 kg, they should be moved into individual cages under low-intensity fattening conditions. Good ventilation, shade, and controlled lighting help mimic their natural nocturnal behavior, encouraging frequent feeding and faster growth. By the time they reach 100 days, Rex rabbits can weigh between 2.5 to 3 kg, ready for market.
