2. Field maintenance: During the early growth stage, regular weeding and loosening of the soil are essential. At the seedling stage, thin out the plants to one or two per hole. Keep the soil moist during the leaf development phase, and reduce watering after flowering. Borage is generally resistant to pests and diseases, so chemical pesticides are usually unnecessary.
