U.S. discovers genes related to lung cancer A recent study by American scientists found that a gene called "NKX2.1" plays an important role in the spread of lung cancer cells. This discovery is expected to help scientists develop new drugs to treat cancer.
Scientists from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the new issue of Nature said that most human cancers are derived from DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) mutations. The researchers studied more than 500 tumor samples taken from lung cancer patients, looking for single nucleotide polymorphisms, the genetic variation of DNA, to identify genes associated with lung cancer.
Researchers have focused on lung adenocarcinoma, which accounts for about a third of all lung cancer cases. The researchers eventually found at least 40 genetic variants associated with lung adenocarcinoma, and the most frequently occurring genetic variant occurred on the "NKX2.1" gene.
It is reported that the researchers previously only knew that the gene usually acts as a "main regulator" to control the activity of other genes in alveolar cells. But new findings suggest that the gene is actually a "catalyst for cancer cell growth."
According to data released by the World Health Organization, lung cancer kills about 1.3 million people worldwide each year and has become the cancer with the highest mortality rate. ——China Medicine 123 Network

Bread is the most common and traditional food around the world. It has close links with Baking Enzymes. Enzymes has been used to improve the properties of the dough and of the final baked products. So it is considered that enzymes can be a cost effective solution to many of the problems encountered during production. Nowadays, baking enzymes are playing a vital role in bread-making industry. Sunson is dedicate to researching and developing high quality and new efficiency product unceasingly in the worldwide grain food enzyme domain. We serve for the grain food processing industry, and make great efforts to promote all kinds of flour products quality.
