China's Export Situation of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2011

With the gradual warming of natural medicines in Europe and the United States, coupled with the fact that the global economy continues its recovery trend last year, China’s Chinese medicine exports have shown a significant upward trend. According to the latest statistics released by the China Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products, in the first half of this year, China’s imports and exports of Chinese medicines were 1.438 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 41.43% year-on-year. Among them, the export value of 1.111 billion US dollars, an increase of 42.95%.

Among them, Japan, Hong Kong, China and the United States are still the main export markets for traditional Chinese medicines. In the first half of this year, the export growth rate exceeded 30%, and the export volume of the three markets accounted for 43.51% of the total exports of Chinese medicines.

In analyzing the market trend in the second half of the year, the Medical Insurance Association predicts that although the international market continues to grow its demand for green products, Chinese medicine products have continued to maintain rapid growth in exports, but natural disasters and many uncertainties in the second half of the year Factors may lead to repeated world economic recovery and may also have some impact on the export of Chinese medicine. It is expected that the exports of Chinese medicine will continue to increase in the second half of the year, but the growth rate may slow down.
