China independently developed a simulated surgical robot
Recently, the Department of Precision Instruments and Mechanics of Tsinghua University and the School of Mechanical Engineering of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics jointly developed a simulated dental surgery robot that can train doctors to master difficult operations and save training for animals and human bodies.
It is reported that the project called "Research on Force-Responsive System for Dental Surgery" has developed two sets of robotic devices for force-sensing interaction, which have two and three degrees of freedom, respectively, and are currently in trial period. In the simulation system, the robotic device reproduces the force in the simulation system to the trainee, and the trainer can make further responses accordingly. A robotic device with 5 degrees of freedom is currently under development. This project belongs to an applied basic research project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation for the first time in 2003 and has also received the second round of funding from the Natural Fund. ——China Medicine 123 Network
