Start by thoroughly cleaning the machine. Open all inspection hole covers and remove any protective guards. Clear out all debris from the roller chamber, the bridge conveying area, and the cleaning room. Take off the small jigsaw plate, the bottom casing of the cleaning room, and clean both the inside and outside of the fan housing as well as the transmission area. Remove any leftover straw, weeds, or dirt from the bench areas, bridges, and the engine's exterior. Once cleaning is done, start the machine and let the working parts run at high speed for 3-5 minutes to ensure all remaining materials are drained. Then rinse the exterior of the machine with water and run it again at high speed for another 3-5 minutes to remove excess moisture.
Next, perform lubrication according to the combine harvester’s lubrication chart, the lubrication table, and the diesel engine manual. After applying the appropriate lubricants, let the engine idle at a low to medium throttle for 5-10 minutes to allow proper distribution of the oil throughout the system.
Maintain the cutting knife by removing and securing it, then cleaning away any dirt or residual material that may be stuck. Check the blade rivets for looseness, inspect the wear level, and examine the tool bar for any deformation. If any rivets are loose, tighten them immediately. If the blade wear exceeds the acceptable limit, replace it. If the tool bar is bent, straighten it before reinstallation. Ensure that the gap between blades is within 0.20 mm after installation, and verify that the power rod moves smoothly without any jamming. Finally, apply oil and apply rust protection to the blade assembly.
Inspect the threshing roller and replace any overweight threshing arches. Correct any lateral misalignment or deformation in the arches to ensure optimal performance.
Check all fasteners for tightness. Any loosened or damaged fasteners should be tightened or replaced promptly to prevent mechanical failure during operation.
Examine the drive chain. Remove the chains and clean them thoroughly. Inspect each link for cracks or signs of wear. If any damage is found, replace the chain immediately. For chains that are still in good condition, clean them, dust with talcum powder, and reinstall them properly. Adjust the tension as needed before the next harvesting season.
Service the drive belts by removing them and checking for signs of wear such as skid burns, aging, or damage due to prolonged use. Replace any defective belts. For those that can still be used, clean them, apply talcum powder, and reinstall them in their correct positions. Make sure they are adjusted properly before the next harvest.
Finally, repaint the metal surfaces of the machine. Clean all exposed metal areas and apply a fresh coat of paint to protect against rust and corrosion.
At each adjustment point, apply grease and lower the pull-out wheel and header to the lowest position. Raise the plunger rod into the cylinder to complete the maintenance process.
