Early summer management of vineyards

In May and June, it is the critical period for the fruiting and growth of the grapes. The management will directly affect the yield and quality of the grapes as well as the future growth and results. Therefore, we must do a good job of management during this period.

First, shoot management

1. When the new shoot grows to 10 cm or less, the young shoots are wiped off. When it grows to more than 10 cm, the shoots are finely divided. In order to reduce the consumption of nutrients, it is advisable to use the buds of grapes as early as possible. It is generally performed in two parts. The first time after the exhibition, the second time after 10 days. Try to remove the buds, thin buds, and dense buds from the double buds. Under normal circumstances, only one well-developed shoot is left in one bud, and the rest are removed. One bud was left every 15-20 cm on one result, leaving 3 to 4 new shoots for each result, and the rest were removed from the base. In addition, a certain amount of developmental branches should be retained in conjunction with the condition of the tree. Prepare for updates and next year results. The result is that the ratio of shoots to developing shoots is generally 1 to 2:1.

2. Remove tendrils and tied vines in time. When the new shoots grow to 25 to 30 centimeters in length, the new shoots should be evenly tied to the rack without being crossed. With the growth of new shoots paying attention to the angle of vines, the strong twigs and big branches have larger angles. Weak branches and small short branches are smaller.

3. Take heart. In mid-May, it is advisable to go to the early flowering period 7 days before flowering. The result was that the shoots were generally 5 to 10 leaves from the inflorescence, and the development of the toppings could leave 8 to 15 leaves. The tips of the buds that germinate after picking only left the top 1 to 2 shoots, leaving 2 leaves repeatedly topping, and all the others were removed. Results The branch shoots below the panicle were all sparsely removed, leaving 1 leaf topping above the ear.

Second, spike management

After the inflorescences appear, the ear tips are scraped as early as possible according to the load of each vine. Extend vines to retain 1 to 2 spikes, with pressure vines. The general result is that the branches retain single spikes, and the weak branches leave no ears. One to three flower spikes were removed one week before flowering, and 1/4 ear tips were removed to make them fruitful.

Shake the spikes on the wire and in the middle of the shoots to shake off the poorly-fertilized fruit to save nutrients. After 1 to 2 weeks of fruit setting, sparsely fertilized, undeveloped small grains, deformed grains, and damaged grains and overtight and over-tight grains were sparsely removed.

After fruit thinning, bagging is started when the young fruit is large, and it is finished before the end of June. Before spraying for 2~3 days, spray 50% compound thiophanate-methyl wettable powder 800 times or 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder 1000 times.

Third, soil fertilizer management

The demand for phosphate fertilizers from grapes is higher than that of other fruit trees. The demand for potassium fertilizers is more, and it is sensitive to chloride ions. From leafing to flowering, there is a large demand for nitrogen. Phosphorus is absorbed during the vigorous growth of new shoots and berry expansion. Potassium is absorbed throughout the growing season, and as the berry expands, the potassium uptake increases. According to this feature, grasp several topdressing periods and pay attention to cultivating and weeding.

From budding to flowering, that is, in early May, new shoot growth and inflorescence continue to differentiate require large amounts of nutrients, especially during the flowering period. At this time topdressing should be dominated by nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, with appropriate amount of potash fertilizer. Do not only chase nitrogen fertilizer. Appropriate amount of water after application. Spray 0.3% borax +0.2% urea during flowering to increase fruit setting rate. In the berry growing period, that is, in mid-June, the branches and leaves and fruits grow rapidly, and flower buds begin to differentiate, requiring more nutrients. Phosphorus and potash fertilizers are mainly used for topdressing this period, and nitrogenous fertilizer, human waste, diammonium phosphate, and cooked cake fat can all be used, and adequate irrigation can be performed. In the berry coloring period, that is, in late June, the berries begin to color. At this time topdressing with phosphorus, potassium fertilizer, with a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer. Fertilization method: 40 cm from the plant to dig 10 cm deep ring ditch or hole Shi, pay attention to the irrigation of the cover soil.

IV. Pest Control

Before flowering in mid-May, spray half-volume 240 times Bordeaux mixture or 50% Tuzet WP 800 times or Dasheng M-45 800 times to prevent blackpox, cob browning, and gray mold. . After flowering, spray 20% and sweep 2500 times liquid to control chafer and other pests. The growth period of young fruit, spray Kebo 600 times or 70% thiophanate-methyl WP 1000 times or equivalent 200 times Bordeaux mixture, control black pox, downy mildew, powdery mildew and so on. Before coloring, about the end of June, spray 40% EB aluminum wettable powder 300 times or 25% metalaxyl wettable powder 600 times or 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder 800 times or 70% thiol Bujin WP 1000 times, control of gray mold, downy mildew, anthrax, powdery mildew, beetle, floating dust and other pests and diseases.
