I heard that Li Benliang of Wuli Township in Linxiang City was a king of mushroom cultivation. I interviewed him after discovering that his mushrooming level was higher than that of others, largely due to his invention.
Ingenious "water replenishment device". Planting Pleurotus eryngii For many years, after harvesting the first mushroom, Li Benliang will add moisture and nutrients to the bag. In the past, he erected each mushroom bag and then used a sprayer nozzle to inject water from one end of the bag. This was not only labor-intensive, but also difficult to control the amount of water injected. It was often added too much, resulting in difficulty in fruiting. Later, he himself developed a delicate "water replenishment device." The replenishment device was mainly composed of a hydration needle, a hose, and a shunt device. The replenishment needle was about 35 cm long and was covered with a needle hole for even spraying. When using, connect the hydration needle first, and then connect the diverting device to the sprayer mouth. Under normal circumstances, the replenishment device is equipped with 5 replenishment needles. If the cultivator can't replenish the water, it can use a small hose to block the orifices of the two replenishing needles. Then, the person lifts up the sprayer, presses the water (or nutrient solution) with one hand, and the other hand inserts the hydration needle into the horizontal bag. By using this water replenishing device, not only does it not need to erect a bag of bacteria, it saves time and labor, but also makes water supply uniform, which is conducive to mushroom growth.
Simple oil drum steamer. The clinker used for the cultivation of Pleurotus nebrodensis needs to be clinker. However, if boiler steam is used to steam the raw material, the investment cost is too high. It is understood that the average medium boiler is about 15,000 yuan/set. Li Benliang used his three petrol barrels (two of which were used for heating and the other to supply the following two oil barrels) alongside his own mushroom shed. A simple steamer was set up and tiled with clay bricks. A pan is used for steaming. Although each steaming takes longer (about 50 hours), it can save a lot of production costs.
New improved mushroom shed. The key to the production of Pleurotus eryngii is to grasp the technical points of “medium temperature germs, low-temperature mushroomingâ€, and this requires appropriate production facilities. After several inspections, Li Benliang designed a new type of mushroom shed, that is, based on the large arch shed, some improvements were made, and two walls were built in the north and south to improve the insulation. In order to meet the requirements of the Bailing mushroom on light, the shed film was covered with film + straw + film + non-woven fabric, and then the non-woven fabric was pulled on both sides of the mushroom shed to create a suitable light scattering condition for the mushroom in the shed. In addition, in order to improve the performance of fireproof, windproof, and rainproof and snowproof performance of mushroom sheds, Li Benliang used cement to mix building water glue for protection. Tests have shown that the production efficiency of this mushroom shed is high, investment is half lower than that of greenhouse sheds, and its yield and quality are significantly improved.
Sterile inoculation box. Pleurotus inoculation needs to be carried out under sterile conditions. However, in rural areas, there is no clean bench. Li Benliang believes that the key to inoculating the box is to confine it and create a sterile environment. He made a wooden vaccination box, which can fully meet the vaccination requirements by strengthening the glass seal and using aerosol sterilization.
