New rice variety "Zhejing 37" passed certification

The new single-season late japonica rice variety “Zhejing 37” jointly selected by the Institute of Crop and Nuclear Technology Utilization, Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Zip Code: 310021, tel. 0571-86404197) and the Hangzhou Seed Breeding Company, passed recently. Zhejiang Province certification.

The average growth period of the species was 153.4 days, with a seed setting rate of 89.5% and a grain weight of 24.2 g. The rate of whole polished rice was 70.4%, the chalkiness rate was 48.3%, the chalkiness was 10.7%, the amylose content was 16.7%, the gel consistency was 62.5 mm, and the aspect ratio of the grain type was 1.8. The average output of 667 square meters (1 mu) is 556.9 kg.
