Plum rain season vegetable pest prevention advice

In the rainy season, the combination of moderate field temperatures and high humidity creates ideal conditions for the development and spread of vegetable pests and diseases. This period is particularly challenging for farmers, as several common issues such as anthracnose, powdery mildew, downy mildew, tomato leaf mold, and diamondback moth tend to become more severe. It's crucial for vegetable growers across the country to focus on managing these key pests and diseases during this time. **Prevention Recommendations:** 1. **Melon Anthracnose:** In the early stages of infection, apply 25% chlorothalonil EC at a dilution of 1000 times, or 50% triadimefon WP at 1500 times, 40% chlorothalonil suspension diluted 600 times, or 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder at 1000 times. These treatments can help manage the disease effectively. 2. **Melon Powdery Mildew:** At the first signs of infection, use 50% triadimefon suspension at 3000 times, 99% mineral oil EC (Lycin) at 150 times, 40% fexofenadine emulsion at 6000 times, or 10% shigao water-soluble granules at 1500 times. Repeat applications every 7–10 days for 2–3 times. 3. **Melon Downy Mildew:** Apply 80% mancozeb WP at 2000 times, 72% copper oxychloride WP at 1000 times, 70% mancozeb suspension at 800 times, or 72.2% propamocarb 600 times. Treatments should be applied every 7–10 days for a total of 3–4 times. 4. **Tomato Leaf Mold:** Begin spraying at the onset of symptoms, focusing on the underside of leaves. Use 40% fexofenadine EC at 6000 times, 50% fluoxastrobin suspension at 1000 times, 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder at 600 times, or 70% dry suspension at 500 times. Repeat every 7–10 days for 2–3 times. 5. **Diamondback Moth:** During egg hatching periods, spray with 5% spinosad powder at 1500 times. For larvae control, apply when there are 1–2 larvae per plant before they reach the second instar. Use products like 500 times of Suterine (vegetable-specific), 0.3% azadirachtin at 500 times, 2.5% emulsifiable concentrate at 2000 times, 0.6% diflubenzuron at 1000 times, or 5% Ruijin special suspension at 2500 times. Repeat every 7–10 days for 2–3 times. 6. **Liriomyza sativae (Leafminer):** To control adults, apply 5% spinosad EC at 2000 times during the early emergence phase, preferably in sunny and dry weather between 10 am and 2 pm. For larval control, target second-instar larvae using 50% thiamethoxam WP at 2000 times or 75% imidacloprid WP at 5000 times. Repeat every 5–7 days for 2–3 times. It is essential to rotate and use pesticides responsibly to prevent resistance. Always follow the recommended pre-harvest intervals and safety guidelines for pesticide application to ensure both crop health and consumer safety.

Nucleic Acid (DNA/RNA) Extraction Kit

1. Introduction

The total viral nucleic acid extraction kit is suitable for extracting total viral nucleic acid from serum, plasma, tissue homogenate and other samples. The kit is based on silica column purification technology, which eliminates the need for toxic phenol-chloroform extraction and time-consuming alcohol precipitation. This product has successfully extracted nucleic acids from hepatitis B A/C, hepatitis C, and norovirus standard. The obtained DNA/RNA can be directly used in a series of downstream experiments such as PCR, RT-PCR, and LAMP.
Notice:

1. The carrier RNA solid must be dissolved in Nuclease Free Water to 1µg/µl before use, and vortex to dissolve. Store in aliquots at -70°C. If you need to store it at -20℃ for a long time, please repackage it according to the number of times of use.

2. Dissolve Proteinase K (20mg/ml): Add Proteinase Dissolve Buffer to dissolve Proteinase K to a final concentration of 20mg/ml. Proteinase K dry powder can be stored at 2-8°C for one year, but dissolved Proteinase K must be stored in aliquots at -20°C. Repeated freezing and thawing of Proteinase K can affect its activity.

3. Buffer VHB must be diluted with 14 ml absolute ethanol before use and stored at room temperature.

4. Buffer RW2 must be diluted with 80 ml of absolute ethanol before use and stored at room temperature.

3. Shelf life

Except for Proteinase K and Carrier RNA, other components of this product can be stored at room temperature (15-25°C) for 12 months, and should be stored at 2-8°C for long-term storage. Proteinase K and Carrier RNA dry powder are transported at room temperature. Please store at -20°C after receiving the test product, and store at -20°C after dissolving.
