(I) The fish pond should be an outdoor cement pool with a single area of approximately 300 square meters and a water depth ranging from 1.5 to 2 meters. It is recommended to use well water that meets the quality standards for aquaculture. Before starting fish farming, the pond should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to ensure a healthy environment for the fish.
(II) Fish stocking should involve individuals with a body length of 18–30 cm and a weight between 50–90 grams. All fish in the same pond should be of similar size to promote uniform growth. Fish of different sizes should be kept in separate ponds. The stocking density should be between 0.5 and 1.0 fish per square meter. Prior to entering the pond, the fish should be soaked in a 5% saltwater solution for 20 minutes to prevent disease. Feeding can begin on the second day after they are introduced into the pond.
(C) Feeding and Management:
1. Feed: During this stage, artificial pelleted feed can be fully utilized. The feed formulation includes crude protein at 37.82%, crude fat at 5.96%, crude fiber at 8.48%, ash at 14.91%, nitrogen-free extract at 20.55%, moisture at 12.28%, and particle size between 2–3 mm. Fish should be fed three times a day, with a daily feeding rate of about 2% of their total body weight.
2. Water Quality Management: Maintain a water depth between 1.0 and 1.5 meters, ideally under flowing conditions. Dissolved oxygen levels should remain above 6 mg/L, and the water temperature should be kept within 18–26°C. Regularly remove sludge from the bottom to maintain clean water conditions.
3. Monitoring and Inspection: Observe the fish’s behavior and feeding patterns regularly. Adjust the daily feeding amount based on how much the fish eat. Promptly remove any sick or dead fish to prevent the spread of disease. Consistent monitoring ensures optimal growth and health of the fish population.
