The difference between pollution-free vegetables, green vegetables, and organic vegetables

The pollution-free vegetables are safe vegetables that are produced according to the corresponding production technical standards, meet the general hygiene standards, and are recognized by the relevant departments. Strictly speaking, pollution-free is a basic requirement for vegetables, and ordinary vegetables should meet this requirement.

Green vegetables are certified vegetables promoted by the agricultural sector in China and are divided into two grades: A grade and AA grade. Among them, A-grade green vegetables are allowed to use chemical synthetic production materials in limited quantities, and AA-grade green vegetables are more strictly required to use chemical synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, vegetable additives and other substances harmful to the environment and health during the production process. In essence, green vegetables are a transitional product from pollution-free vegetables to organic vegetables.

Organic vegetables refer to vegetable products and processed products that are organically produced and processed, meet relevant standards, and are certified by a special certification body. The production of organic vegetables is more difficult than the production of other vegetables. It requires the establishment of a new production system and monitoring system, and the corresponding technologies for pest control, soil conservation, seed cultivation, product processing and storage.
